Mounted on center lathes, capstans, turrets or like machine tools TACO' self
opening die-heads are used for cutting threads and are most suitable for
heavy duty work & mass production. Die-heads open automatically when the
selected thread length is reached eliminating the necessity of the direction or
working spindle.
These die-heads are also recommended for large runs of stay bolts,
adjusting screws, etc.
Normally TACO' die-heads are supplied with a straight shank.
The Shank is held in position by three screws, and there before one from of
flanged shank, such as Morse taper shank or other type of flanged shank can
be fitted to suit a particular machine.
